The supporters of Farsta FF booed when The Institute was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rusi Zabunov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torsten Petersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vitko Shalamanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Petersson in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, The Institute was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rusi Zabunov to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, The Institute's Nedyalko Dobrilov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Åke Caspersson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Farsta FF were awarded a corner. Egon Danielsson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Egon Danielsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Institute's Vitko Shalamanov did a great save. If Spiro Mazakov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torsten Petersson took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitko Shalamanov. Vitko Shalamanov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zapryan Kaludov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Farsta FF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stoimen Glavchev made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Stoimen Glavchev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Institute's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stoimen Glavchev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute, Kåre Martinsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the game, Kåre Martinsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vitko Shalamanov. Kåre Martinsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After 61 played minutes Rune Rosendahl rounded The Institute's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. In the 65th minute Rune Rosendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitko Shalamanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torsten Petersson in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vitko Shalamanov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rusi Zabunov during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rusi Zabunov hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd match minute, The Institute was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zlatin Noshtev to maneuver through the defense. Vitko Shalamanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egon Danielsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Torsten Petersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Vitko Shalamanov made a huge save. Torsten Petersson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Vitko Shalamanov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vitko Shalamanov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kåre Martinsson in the 84th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Farsta FF's goal looked a bit too open when Stoimen Glavchev came free, but Karl-Åke Caspersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 94 minutes, Nedyalko Dobrilov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
