The audience thought a goal was coming when Kilian Mbappè got free with Allan Varela in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 18 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Lapurdi Jaramillo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isa Günyol in the 21st minute of play forced Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Allan Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palestra do Interior's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Kilian Mbappè scored to the left of an out of position Allan Varela, making the score, 1-0. Andrey Kamishev made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Isa Günyol however managed to control. 31 minutes into the match, Red John S.K's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Lago came free, but Cássio Corinth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitório Lago in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cássio Corinth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Bach, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Lago in the 44th minute of play forced Red John S.K's goalkeeper Cássio Corinth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute Kilian Mbappè shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Percival Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cássio Corinth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Percival Cruz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cássio Corinth came out and tried to block the shot, but Percival Cruz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 77th minute. Vitório Lago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Cássio Corinth made a huge save. In the 89th minute Dari Solo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Corinth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
