Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Azeari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Debruyne in the 45th minute of play forced Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Quentin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manchester United F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anacleto Emesto in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
