Sören Åkerman started the match with the kick off. Martin Gabon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sören Åkerman in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Medellín AFC's Esteve Ishmael got a free kick in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sören Åkerman in the 7th minute of play forced Medellín AFC's goalkeeper Martin Gabon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tygrysy Europy's Radowit Zawada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Fidensio in the 8th minute of play. Radowit Zawada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Tiso in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Medellín AFC's goalkeeper Martin Gabon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Radowit Zawada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Fidensio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Gabon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregório Jesus's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Elpidio Henry hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If James Parrondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Tygrysy Europy's Zbyszko Smuskiewicz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Martin Gabon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregório Jesus in the 32nd minute of the match. Martin Gabon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from James Parrondo went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Radowit Zawada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melchor Fidensio's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Gregório Jesus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Gabon. Medellín AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregório Jesus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After some careless play in the Medellín AFC defense, Zbyszko Smuskiewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Gabon. The Medellín AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Gabon should have stopped the shot. If James Parrondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martin Gabon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Eliasen in the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melchor Fidensio to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, James Parrondo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Martin Gabon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 58 minutes into the match, Medellín AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gregório Jesus came free, but Martin Gabon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes of play, Tygrysy Europy's James Parrondo made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Gabon was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Tygrysy Europy booed when Medellín AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Guib didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Tygrysy Europy's Sören Åkerman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Gabon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Medellín AFC's Martin Gabon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Parrondo in the 67th minute of play. Bernardo Poz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radowit Zawada having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Gregório Jesus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. In the 74th minute, Maciej Jaktorowo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Gabon came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Tygrysy Europy's Gregório Jesus. But to his dismay, Gregório Jesus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Medellín AFC's goalkeeper Martin Gabon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Medellín AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gregório Jesus came free, but Martin Gabon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
