In the 38th minute Gábor Joó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Afonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Cosme Ruisko heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ermegildo Ongile charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ermegildo Ongile the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rene Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hıdır Aygüneş in the 52nd minute of play. With a little luck, Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s Gavino Afonso got control of the ball when Gábor Joó tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s Gavino Afonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gábor Joó in the 61st minute of play. When the match was over Valencia CF Mindszent could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ throughout the match.
