Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Merengue FC's Roland Banaszak started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mateo Llorienzo was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Kirk Powderham capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kirk Powderham really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Mateo Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy de Cijser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8thth minute of the game Freddy de Cijser who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merengue FC's Mateo Llorienzo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After taking down the ball on Brakkies New Bastards's corner Robben Kints fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mateo Llorienzo quite easily take care of the ball. In the 13th minute, Albino Dimas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brakkies New Bastards's Daniel Reijniers couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Merengue FC. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Brakkies New Bastards's Freddy de Cijser in the 16th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Mateo Llorienzo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Merengue FC through an amazing save. After 18 minutes Merengue FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Reijniers who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Otis Vandamme managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The Brakkies New Bastards fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Brakkies New Bastards's Kirk Powderham looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nico Van Meerbek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Frances, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Merengue FC's zone, Kirk Powderham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateo Llorienzo came out of the goal and Kirk Powderham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateo Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy de Cijser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edelmiro Quintyn was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Merengue FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! The crowd rose to their feet as Kirk Powderham kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mateo Llorienzo. That made the score 4-0 in the 41 minute of play. Mateo Llorienzo made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Kirk Powderham sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kirk Powderham to strike the kick off in the second half. Kirk Powderham scored 5-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateo Llorienzo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mateo Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Powderham in the 54th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Merengue FC's Darwin Núñez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-1. Mateo Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy de Cijser in the 65th minute of play. Kirk Powderham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Mateo Llorienzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Frances sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy de Cijser struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Mateo Llorienzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brakkies New Bastards. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robben Kints in the 77th minute of play forced Merengue FC's goalkeeper Mateo Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mateo Llorienzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kirk Powderham in the 79th minute of the match. Mateo Llorienzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kirk Powderham, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 94th minute Kirk Powderham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Llorienzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
