Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gábor Joó in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Gábor Joó made a precise shot to the right of Mieszko Karanowski. Marzagão's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Valencia CF Mindszent's Rene Higuita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Valencia CF Mindszent from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute, Gábor Joó ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mieszko Karanowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a little luck, Valencia CF Mindszent's Rene Higuita got control of the ball when Murillo do Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rene Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Santiago in the 27th minute of the match. Valencia CF Mindszent's Rene Higuita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Valencia CF Mindszent from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute Marzagão were awarded a corner. Eliseu Fantini went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Marzagão's corner Eliseu Fantini fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rene Higuita quite easily take care of the ball. Mieszko Karanowski came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Valencia CF Mindszent's Gábor Joó. But to his dismay, Gábor Joó quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 36thth minute of the game Gábor Joó who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gábor Joó in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mieszko Karanowski saved Marzagão from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Alexandre Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Marzagão's Ruperto Ignatius got a free kick in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Christos Xenidis came free, but Mieszko Karanowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mieszko Karanowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gábor Joó, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Valencia CF Mindszent were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Santiago in the 57th minute of play forced Valencia CF Mindszent's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Marzagão's zone, Konstantin Fitos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mieszko Karanowski came out of the goal and Konstantin Fitos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Valencia CF Mindszent's Konstantin Fitos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mieszko Karanowski. That made the score 1-4 after 70 minutes of play. Marzagão made a substitution. Pedro Toledo replaced Murillo do Valle. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Konstantin Fitos in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mieszko Karanowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski got control of the ball when Elek Bognár tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valencia CF Mindszent's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gáspár Rigó in the 81st minute. Konstantin Fitos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mieszko Karanowski having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Mieszko Karanowski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 85 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Konstantin Fitos came free, but Mieszko Karanowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mieszko Karanowski came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Valencia CF Mindszent's Konstantin Fitos. But to his dismay, Konstantin Fitos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The audience was convinced that Konstantin Fitos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mieszko Karanowski was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 90thth minute of the game Konstantin Fitos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Marzagão defense, Konstantin Fitos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mieszko Karanowski. The Marzagão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mieszko Karanowski should have stopped the shot. The Valencia CF Mindszent supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Valencia CF Mindszent would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
