Ömer Halisdemir might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Llorienzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ömer Halisdemir ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Mateo Llorienzo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 14 played minutes Merengue FC got a freekick which was hit by Albino Dimas. Ömer Halisdemir might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Llorienzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ömer Halisdemir ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19th minute, Ömer Halisdemir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateo Llorienzo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Mateo Llorienzo had great luck who in the 22ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Ömer Halisdemir from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 23 minutes of play, Merengue FC's Darwin Núñez made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kajetan Dec was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mateo Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Halisdemir in the 27th minute of play. Ömer Halisdemir received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mateo Llorienzo came out and tried to block the shot, but Ömer Halisdemir slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 29th minute. Mateo Llorienzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ömer Halisdemir's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Ömer Halisdemir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mateo Llorienzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ömer Halisdemir in the 34th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match Ömer Halisdemir climbed in front of goal and pressed up 3-1 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Mateo Llorienzo. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's attentive Lucjan Bochinski managed to snatch the ball when Albino Dimas made a throw-in in the 40th minute of the game. Ömer Halisdemir blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mateo Llorienzo having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Roland Banaszak made the kick off in the second half. Merengue FC's Mateo Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ömer Halisdemir in the 56th minute of play. Mateo Llorienzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ömer Halisdemir's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the game, one of Merengue FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Merengue FC:s Mateo Llorienzo showed great skill when he stopped Karl-Åke Lindström:s penalty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ömer Halisdemir in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Llorienzo saved Merengue FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ömer Halisdemir in the 79th minute of play forced Merengue FC's goalkeeper Mateo Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was a well-played corner which Lucjan Bochinski managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Mateo Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from La Škarpa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 90 minutes, Ismael Frances mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merengue FC and the Zawisza Bydgoszcz players grew even worse after the yellow card. 91 minutes into the match, La Škarpa notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Merengue FC's Mateo Llorienzo. Mateo Llorienzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Merengue FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Zawisza Bydgoszcz had won, even though Merengue FC had held more of the ball.
