Gábor Joó blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mieszko Karanowski having to make a save. With a little luck, Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski got control of the ball when Gábor Joó tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rene Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Santiago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cezar Martins hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Mieszko Karanowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gábor Joó's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. If Gábor Joó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 17th minute of the match, Gábor Joó got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mieszko Karanowski was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 22 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goalkeeper Mieszko Karanowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gábor Joó. Elek Bognár could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Mieszko Karanowski made a huge save. The Valencia CF Mindszent fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marzagão! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gábor Joó in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mieszko Karanowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gábor Joó stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elek Bognár in the 52nd minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Mieszko Karanowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
