Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kevin Keegan kicked off to start the match. Olov Wahlnäs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romário Molina in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute of the match Young Ostend United got a corner. Skövde AIK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leontin Vârșan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Leontin Vârșan made a great header on Young Ostend United's corner, it was just that Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs managed to reach the ball for a save. Stanny Van Gorp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Petersson in the 10th minute of the match. Stanny Van Gorp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 18thth minute of the game Chen Ao Fan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Young Ostend United's Stanny Van Gorp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stanny Van Gorp came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Skövde AIK's Kurt Hamrin. But to his dismay, Kurt Hamrin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kevin Keegan scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stanny Van Gorp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olov Wahlnäs made an important save on a dangerous shot by 秦昂平 in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Filip Brolin. In the 32nd minute, Jason Asselberghs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Hamrin in the 35th minute of play forced Young Ostend United's goalkeeper Stanny Van Gorp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanny Van Gorp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Alain Wans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Olov Wahlnäs made a huge save. Stanny Van Gorp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Hamrin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chen Ao Fan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Skövde AIK were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, Young Ostend United's Stanny Van Gorp got control of the ball when Chen Ao Fan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stanny Van Gorp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Hamrin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Jason Asselberghs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Wahlnäs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanny Van Gorp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Skövde AIK made a substitution. Jerry Williams replaced Chen Ao Fan. Jason Asselberghs took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olov Wahlnäs. Olov Wahlnäs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Young Ostend United's Stanny Van Gorp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Hamrin in the 76th minute of play. Olov Wahlnäs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 秦昂平, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Skövde AIK's Kevin Keegan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stanny Van Gorp. That made the score 2-5 after 86 minutes of play. Alain Wans kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerry Williams got free with Stanny Van Gorp in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Young Ostend United's Alain Wans got a free kick in the 94th minute. Skövde AIK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
