Frans Van Caubergen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Rene Vereijt made a huge save. Waud De Geyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Westelinx, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. FC Ouagadougou National were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Silver Squad AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hamza Yavaş took the corner. FC Ouagadougou National's Faudel Dagorne was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Waud De Geyter in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Laurence Soens made in the 12th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Loid De Keuster. FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save FC Ouagadougou National from getting a goal against them. In the 20thth minute of the game William Westelinx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Silver Squad AFC's Waud De Geyter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Waud De Geyter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamza Yavaş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers William Westelinx in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waud De Geyter saved Silver Squad AFC from getting behind. In the 31st minute, German Bernebe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute William Westelinx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waud De Geyter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waud De Geyter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Westelinx in the 37th minute of play. FC Ouagadougou National's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hamza Yavaş in the 38th minute. The corner led FC Ouagadougou National's Paolo Evis to fire away a dangerous shot which Waud De Geyter despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Paolo Evis sped through Silver Squad AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Waud De Geyter.

The wind increased when Benjamin Carberry made the kick off in the second half. William Westelinx who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Waud De Geyter when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 55 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waud De Geyter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, William Westelinx dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Waud De Geyter, 0-3. If William Westelinx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Waud De Geyter made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when William Westelinx sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loid De Keuster in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Loid De Keuster in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Vereijt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Silver Squad AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute, Frans Van Caubergen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Vereijt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. FC Ouagadougou National's Jedrzej Kiszkiel was substituted for William Westelinx. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Carberry in the 80th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Vereijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Carberry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the game, Jedrzej Kiszkiel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Waud De Geyter. Jedrzej Kiszkiel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Waud De Geyter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jedrzej Kiszkiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jedrzej Kiszkiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Ouagadougou National had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
