Who Ate All Depay were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Skövde AIK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tor-Egil Gjertsen took the corner. In the 28th minute, Wen Bo Yang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Who Ate All Depay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Falco Pruischer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kevin Keegan was the one to do the kick off. Falco Pruischer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Keegan in the 84th minute of the match. Olov Wahlnäs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Volponi in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Hamrin in the 87th minute of play forced Who Ate All Depay's goalkeeper Falco Pruischer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olov Wahlnäs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wen Bo Yang, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Falco Pruischer made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Georg Norström sent off a good shot on target. 94 minutes into the match, Who Ate All Depay's goalkeeper Falco Pruischer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kevin Keegan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Hamrin got free with Falco Pruischer in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Who Ate All Depay fans cheered their team off the field, for while Skövde AIK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
