The goalkeeper, Yorrick Zoethout, was totally fooled by Skövde AIK's Kevin Keegan, who 12 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 15th minute Steven Homan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Wahlnäs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yorrick Zoethout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Yorrick Zoethout had great luck who in the 24thth minute grab hold of the ball when Chen Ao Fan from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The wind increased when Steven Homan made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Krister Uggstedt hit a great ball. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Olov Wahlnäs, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Steven Homan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Olov Wahlnäs made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as SV Balverliefd's Steven Homan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Olov Wahlnäs. That made the score 1-2 after 59 minutes of play. Steven Homan scored 1-3 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olov Wahlnäs, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olov Wahlnäs was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Steven Homan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Steven Homan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Steven Homan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Philippe-Arnaud Van Cleijnenbreugel notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs. Olov Wahlnäs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yorrick Zoethout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 83rd minute of play. In the 88th minute, Steven Homan made a precise shot to the right of Olov Wahlnäs. Skövde AIK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. In the 95th minute, Jerry Williams ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yorrick Zoethout was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6. The Skövde AIK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SV Balverliefd's performance. The match ended with a win for SV Balverliefd.
