An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerwin Aerts in the 15th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, William Westelinx left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Ouagadougou National fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With a little luck, Osdorp FC's Wilfried Henselmans got control of the ball when William Westelinx tried to sneak it across the goal line. Osdorp FC's Wilfried Henselmans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Osdorp FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to FC Ouagadougou National getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Andres Calamaro hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Jack de Koning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodor Jokiranta in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Vereijt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After some careless play in the Osdorp FC defense, William Westelinx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfried Henselmans. The Osdorp FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfried Henselmans should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Osdorp FC's Ludomil Sokolski got a free kick in the 57th minute. With a little luck, FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt got control of the ball when Teodor Jokiranta tried to sneak it across the goal line. William Westelinx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfried Henselmans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Rene Vereijt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Porro, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx pulled a muscle in his back after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Victor Ixona charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Ixona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 played minutes Osdorp FC got a freekick which was hit by Victor Ixona. Osdorp FC's Douwe de Haan was substituted for Pedro Porro. In the 67th minute, Victor Ixona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute FC Ouagadougou National were awarded a corner. Hamza Yavaş went to the cornerflag to take it. 73 minutes into the match, Osdorp FC's goal looked a bit too open when William Westelinx came free, but Wilfried Henselmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Westelinx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilfried Henselmans having to make a save. Osdorp FC's Maarten Grol was substituted for Carlo Windmuller. The audience was convinced that Jedrzej Kiszkiel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilfried Henselmans was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 91st minute Jedrzej Kiszkiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfried Henselmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 minutes, Jedrzej Kiszkiel made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Osdorp FC's Wilfried Henselmans tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
