After a rather tough play, The Everett Hawks's Laureano Shantala got a free kick in the 20th minute. Yorrick Zoethout made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Fre van Eijnde sent off a good shot on target. When SV Balverliefd's Steven Homan in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ludo Vanden Bossche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willem-Jan Grootjans got free with Yorrick Zoethout in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute Abdi Mehmet Rakim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yorrick Zoethout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yorrick Zoethout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Mehmet Rakim in the 38th minute of the match. Fre van Eijnde scored 2-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yorrick Zoethout, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philippe-Arnaud Heremans got free with Yorrick Zoethout in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Abdi Mehmet Rakim made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, SV Balverliefd's goal looked a bit too open when Willem-Jan Grootjans came free, but Yorrick Zoethout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ludo Vanden Bossche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Homan in the 57th minute of play. After 64 played minutes SV Balverliefd got a freekick which was hit by Steven Homan. SV Balverliefd's Yorrick Zoethout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fre van Eijnde in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Homan in the 70th minute of play forced The Everett Hawks's goalkeeper Ludo Vanden Bossche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix van As fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludo Vanden Bossche having to interfere. The Everett Hawks's Luke Van Bostraeten was substituted for Willem-Jan Grootjans. Andy Van Aghten kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Homan in the 84th minute of play forced The Everett Hawks's goalkeeper Ludo Vanden Bossche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Abdi Mehmet Rakim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute Philippe-Arnaud Heremans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yorrick Zoethout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the SV Balverliefd players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The Everett Hawks.
