The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Silver Squad AFC booed when FFC Merainies 03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pepijn Hummel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Carberry in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the match, Silver Squad AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ksawery Gongola came free, but Waud De Geyter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Carberry. In the 17thth minute of the game Ksawery Gongola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Silver Squad AFC's Waud De Geyter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ksawery Gongola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Waud De Geyter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ksawery Gongola scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waud De Geyter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Ksawery Gongola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waud De Geyter. Silver Squad AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ksawery Gongola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Benjamin Carberry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu having to interfere. The Silver Squad AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FFC Merainies 03 were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamin Carberry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damazy Radzyminski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damazy Radzyminski in the 54th minute of play forced FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loid De Keuster's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Ksawery Gongola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Waud De Geyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Craandijk, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, Silver Squad AFC's Laurence Soens got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ksawery Gongola who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Waud De Geyter when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Silver Squad AFC defense, Pepijn Hummel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waud De Geyter. The Silver Squad AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waud De Geyter should have stopped the shot. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Waud De Geyter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ksawery Gongola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 minutes, Leon Craandijk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FFC Merainies 03 and the Silver Squad AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 95 minutes into the match, Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Waud De Geyter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Craandijk. After a rather tough play, FFC Merainies 03's Bruno Marceau got a free kick in the 96th minute.
