The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Willian Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faas Marsal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the game, Oscar Prestes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Willian Loyola. Oscar Prestes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Décio Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. When Raúl Maia fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morro Grande E.C's protests and gave Raúl Maia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Zuera Never End MZC booed when Morro Grande E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes Morro Grande E.C got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Maia. In the 15th minute Jairo Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Jairo Cardoso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Willian Loyola. Jairo Cardoso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 23rd minute Oscar Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Everton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Morro Grande E.C's Willian Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Prestes in the 27th minute of play. Santo Everton came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Morro Grande E.C's Luisinho Silva. But to his dismay, Luisinho Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Raúl Maia hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Faas Marsal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Willian Loyola. That made the score 3-1 in the 39 minute of play. Cristian Duarte's late challenge caught a Zuera Never End MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Duarte helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes Morro Grande E.C got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Duarte. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

51 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Prestes came free, but Willian Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynaldo Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Cristian Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Everton having to interfere. The supporters of Zuera Never End MZC booed when Morro Grande E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clóvis Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Morro Grande E.C defense, Faas Marsal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willian Loyola. The Morro Grande E.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willian Loyola should have stopped the shot. In the 78th minute, Oscar Prestes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Willian Loyola was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Willian Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Prestes in the 84th minute of play. After some careless play in the Morro Grande E.C defense, Oscar Prestes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willian Loyola. The Morro Grande E.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willian Loyola should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute, Manoel Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zuera Never End MZC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
