The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dario Evis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willian Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Sabin in the 14th minute of the match. Willian Loyola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Bastiaro in the 16th minute. Morro Grande E.C's Willian Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Sabin in the 21st minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Bastiaro came free, but Willian Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Duarte made a kick off. Wanderson Mello's late challenge caught a CLATHU's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of CLATHU booed when Morro Grande E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Denis Bastiaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Evis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Duarte's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Jacobo Sabin took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Willian Loyola. Willian Loyola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Willian Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Harriet in the 88th minute of play. Denis Bastiaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Loyola having to interfere. CLATHU's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
