Steven Chadwick really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Lennie Currie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Stefan Gunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lennie Currie in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Gunn saved K. Beerschot VAC from getting behind. If Lennie Currie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casey Oliver might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stefan Gunn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casey Oliver ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Lennie Currie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Gunn was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 24thth minute of the game Lennie Currie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but K. Beerschot VAC's Stefan Gunn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Trey Scholey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stefan Gunn skillfully saved the ball. Tyrone Hartshorn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Cadwallader in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Middlesbrough Ironopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Cadwallader came free, but Tyrone Hartshorn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennie Currie in the 36th minute of play forced K. Beerschot VAC's goalkeeper Stefan Gunn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lennie Currie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Middlesbrough Ironopolis's Felix McCartney got a free kick in the 55th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Chris Cadwallader managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. K. Beerschot VAC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Cadwallader was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Middlesbrough Ironopolis's Lennie Currie got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute Travis Beckwith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Hartshorn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tyrone Hartshorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Cadwallader in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, Middlesbrough Ironopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennie Currie to maneuver through the defense. Middlesbrough Ironopolis's Tyrone Hartshorn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Chadwick in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Middlesbrough Ironopolis getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Alastair Ramsay hit a great ball. Tyrone Hartshorn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Cadwallader, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. K. Beerschot VAC's Stefan Gunn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save K. Beerschot VAC from getting a goal against them. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
