The supporters of Beşiktaş booed when Key West FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Charles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Key West FC's Roger Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Engin Nurkan in the 6th minute of play. Engin Nurkan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. Beşiktaş's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Monroe Braun came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Key West FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Monroe Braun couldn't finish the play. After 13 minutes, Calvin Yarbrough made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Beşiktaş's Batuğ Taşkesen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Yarbrough in the 16th minute of play forced Beşiktaş's goalkeeper Batuğ Taşkesen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Calvin Yarbrough notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Beşiktaş's Batuğ Taşkesen. Batuğ Taşkesen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the match, Key West FC's goal looked a bit too open when Engin Nurkan came free, but Roger Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Key West FC's Roger Magalhães got control of the ball when Aysan Osman tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 32 played minutes, Key West FC's Genaro Wiseman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Batuğ Taşkesen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Key West FC reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Engin Nurkan in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roger Magalhães saved Key West FC from getting behind. Oscar Booth's late challenge caught a Beşiktaş's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Booth helped the player get up and apologised. Oscar Booth kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Paşa Ali Mahçupyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The wind increased when Calvin Yarbrough made the kick off in the second half. Beşiktaş's Sungurhan Kayrahan got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Terrence Doyle's late challenge caught a Beşiktaş's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Terrence Doyle helped the player get up and apologised. 59 minutes into the game, one of Key West FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 62nd minute of the match, Calvin Yarbrough tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Batuğ Taşkesen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Key West FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Freddie Moyer hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barlas Göçer in the 65th minute of play forced Key West FC's goalkeeper Roger Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Batuğ Taşkesen managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Key West FC's Randall Whitley fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Beşiktaş booed when Key West FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradly Owen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paşa Ali Mahçupyan struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Roger Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beşiktaş. A hard shot 93 in the game by Randall Whitley from a close distance when the talented Batuğ Taşkesen managed to make a qualified save. Beşiktaş's players were relieved. Barlas Göçer took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger Magalhães. Roger Magalhães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Beşiktaş had won after a very even match.
