Karahalli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Casey Oliver was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 23 minutes into the game, George Halliday cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Balaban Cansoy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Middlesbrough Ironopolis booed when Karahalli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Emir Ayvazoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Karahalli's Balaban Cansoy got control of the ball when George Halliday tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casey Oliver in the 54th minute of play forced Karahalli's goalkeeper Balaban Cansoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Karahalli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Balaban Cansoy should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Middlesbrough Ironopolis were the better team. Middlesbrough Ironopolis's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
