The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Jacob Tackett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 孙建兴 scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Magalhães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the match, 【№1】九头蛇联队's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Gifford came free, but 毛平泉 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th match minute, 【№1】九头蛇联队 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 俞岩西 to maneuver through the defense. Key West FC's Freddie Moyer got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 俞岩西, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Key West FC's Roger Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Key West FC from getting a goal against them. The 【№1】九头蛇联队 fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when 【№1】九头蛇联队's 孙建兴 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 34 played minutes Key West FC got a freekick which was hit by Randall Whitley. Roger Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 范棋响, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Key West FC's Freddie Moyer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 毛平泉 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 孙建兴 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Roger Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Key West FC's Matt Mott got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 【№1】九头蛇联队's 毛平泉 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvin Yarbrough in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 52nd minute 孙建兴 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Key West FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Luciano Charles hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Key West FC's zone, 孙建兴 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Magalhães came out of the goal and 孙建兴 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Key West FC's Calvin Yarbrough sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 毛平泉 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 66th minute, 孙建兴 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 【№1】九头蛇联队 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 68th match minute, Key West FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddie Moyer to maneuver through the defense. Freddie Moyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. 毛平泉 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 毛平泉 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calvin Yarbrough in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute of the match, Calvin Yarbrough tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but 毛平泉 saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 毛平泉 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calvin Yarbrough in the 83rd minute of the match. 范棋响 kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Key West FC's Oscar Booth tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jacob Tackett received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. 毛平泉 came out and tried to block the shot, but Jacob Tackett slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 88th minute.
