John Hibbert took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oscar Booth. Key West FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Oscar Booth was a little too slow when Billy Hallam got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 2-0. Oscar Booth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy Hallam in the 28th minute of play. Oscar Booth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Hallam, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Key West FC's Antoine Lyles got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Milano City AFC's Bobby Lagdon got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute of the match, Jacob Tackett tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Beinn McGrath saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Milano City AFC were furious when Stew Langsford was red carded, 83 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Stew Langsford hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. A collision led to Milano City AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Dylan Holroyd hit a great ball. Key West FC's Oscar Booth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Hallam in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Bobby Lagdon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milano City AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bobby Lagdon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Booth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
