Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicasio Efren in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Booth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute, Abel Stanislao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A.I. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Nicasio Efren managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.I.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Nicasio Efren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Booth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the game, one of Key West FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, C.A.I.'s Fabricio Asteri got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Oscar Booth. In the 26th minute, C.A.I.'s Abel Stanislao ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oscar Booth. Oscar Booth yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. Rogelio Bihar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddie Moyer in the 29th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Freddie Moyer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Key West FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. 33 minutes into the match, Key West FC's goalkeeper Oscar Booth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicasio Efren. Oscar Booth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Hernando, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th match minute, C.A.I. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Hondo to maneuver through the defense. After 62 minutes, Nicasio Efren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A.I. and the Key West FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.A.I.'s Nicasio Efren got a free kick in the 62nd minute. With his leg Rogelio Bihar managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Key West FC's Freddie Moyer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blaine Rudd in the 73rd minute of play forced C.A.I.'s goalkeeper Rogelio Bihar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.A.I.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicasio Efren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A.I. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Key West FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
