The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vera Andino got free with Rogelio Bihar in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Coconuts FC's Hector-Luis Iglesia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Hernando in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Saturnino Hernando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Vera Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogelio Bihar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Vera Andino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Rogelio Bihar made a huge save. In the 29th minute, Fabricio Arieta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rogelio Bihar. The goal made the score 2-1. Hector-Luis Iglesia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Efren, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Hector-Luis Iglesia came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.I.'s Gustavo Innocenzio. But to his dismay, Gustavo Innocenzio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Oswaldo Junquera hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Marcelino Nesto lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of C.A.I.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Coconuts FC:s goal. In the 46th minute, Fabricio Arieta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rogelio Bihar. The goal made the score 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabricio Arieta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Oso Pimentel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogelio Bihar was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. In the 56th minute Fabricio Arieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Bihar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogelio Bihar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oso Pimentel in the 58th minute of the match. Gustavo Innocenzio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Hector-Luis Iglesia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 61 minutes into the game, Coconuts FC's Fabricio Arieta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rogelio Bihar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Rogelio Bihar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Arieta in the 64th minute of play. Hector-Luis Iglesia made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Nicasio Efren sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Coconuts FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Vera Andino hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Fabricio Arieta notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of C.A.I.'s Rogelio Bihar. Rogelio Bihar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 73 minutes into the game, Ismael Cabanela cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Rogelio Bihar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Hudobro in the 75th minute of play forced C.A.I.'s goalkeeper Rogelio Bihar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Fabricio Arieta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogelio Bihar was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-2. Coconuts FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
