An unexpectedly hard shot by Aysan Osman in the 13th minute of play forced Karahalli's goalkeeper Balaban Cansoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Balaban Cansoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sungurhan Kayrahan, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute Engin Nurkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balaban Cansoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Beşiktaş booed when Karahalli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Affan Cenap didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Karahalli's zone, Engin Nurkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Balaban Cansoy came out of the goal and Engin Nurkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Karahalli's Balaban Cansoy got control of the ball when Barlas Göçer tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute of the match, Sungurhan Kayrahan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Balaban Cansoy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle sounded Beşiktaş left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Karahalli.
