Oscar Booth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Oscar Booth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Halliday in the 25th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Lee Reilly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Middlesbrough Ironopolis's Kris Stubbs got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 34th match minute, Middlesbrough Ironopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alastair Ramsay to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Stan Myers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 minutes, George Halliday mouthed his way into the referee's book. Tyrone Hartshorn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacques McCormick's shot from short distance in the 45th minute.

The supporters of Middlesbrough Ironopolis booed when Key West FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradly Owen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bradly Owen kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Felix McCartney hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Casey Oliver took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Oscar Booth to make any attempt to save it. In the 67th minute Jacques McCormick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Hartshorn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Key West FC's Oscar Booth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casey Oliver in the 69th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Key West FC got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Charles. 75 minutes into the game, Freddie Moyer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Tyrone Hartshorn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
