Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jacques McCormick started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Key West FC's zone, Joseph Borderie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Booth came out of the goal and Joseph Borderie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute, Émilien Reboux left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olympique Lyonnais fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 8 played minutes Olympique Lyonnais got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Borderie. After 18 minutes, Randall Whitley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Key West FC and the Olympique Lyonnais players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Key West FC! When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, Olympique Lyonnais's Samuel Laumond got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. When Randall Whitley was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddie Moyer in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erwan Vetter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Samuel Laumond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Booth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Blaine Rudd hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Joseph Borderie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joseph Borderie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Booth having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Joseph Borderie notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Key West FC's Oscar Booth. Oscar Booth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Olympique Lyonnais players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
