Elpidio Francis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anacleto Horado came out and tried to block the shot, but Elpidio Francis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. The throw-in from Boyko Rushkarski in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Bonifacio Suarez. After a rather tough play, Los Gallos's Ulisses Miranda got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 29 minutes into the game, Muni Cero threw the ball into play from the sideline. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Arnaldo Gabon quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The crowd rose to their feet as ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anacleto Horado. That made the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. Muni Cero kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Anacleto Horado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Gallos's Anacleto Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Los Gallos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muni Cero didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Monclús took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anacleto Horado. When Marcos Abellan, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 86 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Branislav Velchevski was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 90 minutes of play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anacleto Horado was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fully deserved thier win.
