After 7 played minutes La Gallardeta got a freekick which was hit by Alessio Scandella. After 8 played minutes ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Norberg. With an all-out effort, La Gallardeta's Jacobo Mendiko threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fulgencio Gartzi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Héctor Mainer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Belchior Saldanha was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. A collision led to ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Santiago Sosa hit a great ball. Jan-Olof Eliasson in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacobo Mendiko, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 20th minute Héctor Mainer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belchior Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belchior Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Héctor Mainer in the 28th minute of the match. Héctor Mainer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Belchior Saldanha having to make a save. 29 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Héctor Mainer came free, but Belchior Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Olof Eliasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jacobo Mendiko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacobo Mendiko had great luck who in the 35thth minute grab hold of the ball when Fulgencio Gartzi from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Gallardeta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Donato Luar was slow to take the kick. During this time ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's corner Donato Luar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Belchior Saldanha quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Héctor Mainer in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Belchior Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan-Olof Eliasson struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Jacobo Mendiko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gallardeta. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Héctor Mainer was the one to do the kick off. Jacobo Mendiko came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi. But to his dismay, Fulgencio Gartzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Héctor Mainer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Belchior Saldanha was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Belchior Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Héctor Mainer in the 60th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Héctor Mainer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Belchior Saldanha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. La Gallardeta's Belchior Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save La Gallardeta from getting a goal against them. Santiago Sosa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Belchior Saldanha firmly grabbed it by the left post. Belchior Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göktan Akıncıbey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franco Milazzos short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Belchior Saldanha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 97 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Sayveon came free, but Belchior Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Osvaldo Sayveon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Belchior Saldanha was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
