Enrique Vidal struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Juaneizu Merida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altos Gatos FC. Mendiko Bueres made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Altos Gatos FC's Casimiro Toli. Justino Corderun kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Altos Gatos FC's zone, Grabiel Escorcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Kiliz came out of the goal and Grabiel Escorcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Altos Gatos FC booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Candido didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th match minute, Altos Gatos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Chago to maneuver through the defense. Altos Gatos FC's Liev Tolstoy got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Altos Gatos FC's Aurelio Duarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juaneizu Merida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Grabiel Escorcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christian Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia in the 38th minute of play. Juaneizu Merida made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Aurelio Duarte sent off a good shot on target. After 43 minutes of play, Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Kiliz was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Grabiel Escorcia was the one to do the kick off. Aurelio Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juaneizu Merida having to interfere. Nacional's Walme Yurre was substituted for Mendiko Bueres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 65th minute of play forced Altos Gatos FC's goalkeeper Christian Kiliz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Altos Gatos FC's goalkeeper Christian Kiliz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grabiel Escorcia. Grabiel Escorcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Christian Kiliz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Nacional getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Grabiel Escorcia hit a great ball. Juaneizu Merida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Santo in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milosz Majczyk in the 81st minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Juaneizu Merida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Camilo Candido fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nacional's protests and gave Camilo Candido a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th match minute, Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Candido to maneuver through the defense. Juaneizu Merida came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Altos Gatos FC's Javier Santo. But to his dismay, Javier Santo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Nacional made a substitution. Ursino Brunet replaced Joseph Gayoso. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nacional players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Altos Gatos FC.
