In the 3rd minute, Thibault Moon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serafin Bernal came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia. But to his dismay, Grabiel Escorcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Talleres de Escalada defense, Grabiel Escorcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafin Bernal. The Talleres de Escalada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafin Bernal should have stopped the shot. Joseph Gayoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Serafin Bernal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serafin Bernal came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia. But to his dismay, Grabiel Escorcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Juaneizu Merida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xepe Godan in the 23rd minute of the match. A throw-in in the 37th minute of the game was made by Jonny Saran with Christian Urdin as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Talleres de Escalada's Serafin Bernal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 39th minute of play. After the first half Nacional were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Grabiel Escorcia to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Talleres de Escalada's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xu Sha who took care of the corner kick. Nacional's Xu Sha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Serafin Bernal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 57th minute Marcos Acuña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juaneizu Merida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute Grabiel Escorcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacional made a substitution. Walme Yurre replaced Mendiko Bueres. Nacional's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xu Sha in the 63rd minute. A very nice done corner allowed Joseph Gayoso to score against Serafin Bernal in Talleres de Escalada's goal. 0-4 after 63 minutes. Camilo Candido hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Serafin Bernal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grabiel Escorcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Nacional booed when Talleres de Escalada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Urdin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute Grabiel Escorcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Fang Lang Mo came free, but Juaneizu Merida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Grabiel Escorcia came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grabiel Escorcia couldn't finish the play. If Marcos Acuña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Grabiel Escorcia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafin Bernal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The Nacional supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nacional would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
