Hermann Hesse had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Thiago Silva's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Lino Rios blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hermann Hesse having to make a save. 26 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Rios came free, but Hermann Hesse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Eztebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Basualdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Basualdo in the 30th minute of play. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward Kaczor in the 35th minute. AFC FUSION's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 44th match minute, AFC FUSION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Hop to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Rios was the one to do the kick off. Roberto Eztebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Basualdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 59th minute, Lino Rios left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFC FUSION fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Erruki Velarroa was substituted for Bartolo Basualdo. Roberto Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erruki Velarroa in the 66th minute of the match. Roberto Eztebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joao Montanez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joao Montanez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AFC FUSION's Aureliano Arnau was substituted for Jan Hop. Hermann Hesse came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC FUSION's Lino Rios. But to his dismay, Lino Rios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 87th minute Lino Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermann Hesse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor Nyilasi came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Deportivo Popolizio FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Trasagua to maneuver through the defense. AFC FUSION's Christoff Stocks was substituted for Dawid Beckham. Roberto Eztebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibor Nyilasi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The AFC FUSION supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AFC FUSION would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
