Camilo Salvidor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute Gabriele Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Salvidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferenc Puskás, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Lino Roldan charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Menchu FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
