U21 Denmark's Albert Neerholt got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 5th minute Ambrosius Spangsbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trafim Latkovich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rastislav Androsik was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 5 minutes into the match. 4 minutes into the game, one of U21 Belarus:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for U21 Denmark. Ambrosius Spangsbo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Trafim Latkovich. 1-0. In the 10th minute, Reinhard Duse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ambrosius Spangsbo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes U21 Belarus got a freekick which was hit by Pakhom Antonenko. 19 minutes into the match, U21 Denmark's Jens Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trafim Latkovich narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliver Hammerstrøm in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trafim Latkovich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute Ambrosius Spangsbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trafim Latkovich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, U21 Belarus's goal looked a bit too open when Jari Fallesen came free, but Trafim Latkovich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 played minutes U21 Belarus got a freekick which was hit by Vladislav Ramashevsky. Oliver Hammerstrøm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Trafim Latkovich made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliver Hammerstrøm got free with Trafim Latkovich in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Janich Millinder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U21 Belarus's Trafim Latkovich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save U21 Belarus from getting a goal against them. Trafim Latkovich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jari Fallesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Boris Kotov made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Albert Neerholt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trafim Latkovich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trafim Latkovich didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ambrosius Spangsbo went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Trafim Latkovich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Hammerstrøm in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Oliver Hammerstrøm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trafim Latkovich was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 62ndth minute of the game Ambrosius Spangsbo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Belarus's Trafim Latkovich was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. U21 Denmark's Kennet Hedemose was substituted for Jari Fallesen. U21 Denmark's Ernest Schor was substituted for Oliver Hammerstrøm. Trafim Latkovich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosius Spangsbo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Kennet Hedemose had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trafim Latkovich. U21 Belarus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kennet Hedemose was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Neerholt in the 72nd minute of play forced U21 Belarus's goalkeeper Trafim Latkovich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Ambrosius Spangsbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambrosius Spangsbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evgeny Ezersky hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute of the match Ulf Hindgart sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trafim Latkovich skillfully saved the ball. 80 minutes into the game, U21 Denmark's Ernest Schor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Trafim Latkovich made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Harold Truesen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Ambrosius Spangsbo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Denmark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Staneslav Kotov hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When Ulf Hindgart came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the U21 Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Hindgart couldn't finish the play. 10-0 became the score in the 94th minute when Kennet Hedemose elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. U21 Denmark had played much better football throughout.
