The supporters of China booed when Azerbaijan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mämmäd Abuşov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 朱傲义, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 魏亮宇 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Äliqulu Vermäliyev in the 13th minute of the match. If 朱傲义 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute 朱傲义 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 朱傲义 might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 朱傲义 ran back to his position shaking his head. Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 朱傲义 in the 16th minute of play. 魏亮宇 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Äliqulu Vermäliyev in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehran Utandıbalayev in the 20th minute of play forced China's goalkeeper 魏亮宇 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Azerbaijan's goalkeeper Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, China's goal looked a bit too open when Säftär Güläliyev came free, but 魏亮宇 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 朱傲义 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Qaryağdı Isayev made in the 36th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mehran Utandıbalayev. Äliqulu Vermäliyev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 魏亮宇 having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Azerbaijan's goal looked a bit too open when 朱傲义 came free, but Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in China's zone, Säftär Güläliyev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 魏亮宇 came out of the goal and Säftär Güläliyev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, 朱傲义 made a precise shot to the right of Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov. Azerbaijan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when 朱傲义 made the kick off in the second half. If 朱傲义 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 53rd minute 朱傲义 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Azerbaijan's Säftär Güläliyev in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye China's goalie prevented a goal. 柯正轩 kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. China made a substitution. Zhu Cheng Guo replaced 严常耀. A nice corner shot did that Long Xiang Yuan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 66 minutes of play, China's 朱傲义 made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 朱傲义 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 69 minute of play. The Azerbaijan fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Azerbaijan's Mehran Utandıbalayev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 78th minute, 朱傲义 made a precise shot to the right of Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov. Azerbaijan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. 魏亮宇 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Äliqulu Vermäliyev in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 90th minute, 朱傲义 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-7. After 93 minutes of play, China's 朱傲义 made it 2-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov was left in no man's land by his defense there!
