When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Witold Bycofski put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gwidon Jaworski. Gwidon Jaworski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witold Bycofski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Wiesenfeld SA booed when U21 Poland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbigniew Boniek didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Wiesenfeld SA's goalkeeper Gwidon Jaworski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 23rd minute U21 Poland were awarded a corner. Kryspin Mleczewski went to the cornerflag to take it. Maksymilian Zembrzuski tried in the game's 24th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Gwidon Jaworski. An annoying self made goal, 2-0. In the 30th minute U21 Poland were awarded a corner. Kryspin Mleczewski went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on U21 Poland's corner Kryspin Mleczewski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gwidon Jaworski quite easily take care of the ball. Tanek Wojtyna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Czeslaw Kosakowski's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. If Witold Bycofski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witold Bycofski got free with Gwidon Jaworski in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tanek Wojtyna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roch Fudalej, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Witold Bycofski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gwidon Jaworski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. U21 Poland's Tanek Wojtyna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roch Fudalej in the 46th minute of play. Roch Fudalej sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Witold Bycofski made the kick off in the second half. When Roch Fudalej came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Wiesenfeld SA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roch Fudalej couldn't finish the play. Tanek Wojtyna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Kosakowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, U21 Poland's Zdzislaw Kręcina got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 68 minutes Wiesenfeld SA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kryspin Mleczewski who took care of the corner kick. Wiesenfeld SA's Ludomir Duda was substituted for Roch Fudalej. In the 84th minute Witold Bycofski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwidon Jaworski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witold Bycofski in the 96th minute of play forced Wiesenfeld SA's goalkeeper Gwidon Jaworski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. U21 Poland were victorious despite being under pressure from Wiesenfeld SA for much of the match.
