Terry De Hoef kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Minion Mim got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Rosario. Mitch Lauwers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfons Bagge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mitch Lauwers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnauld Van Impe in the 16th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Minion Mim's Will Wipp slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vítor Baia. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. Vítor Baia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joonatan Van Landewijck in the 20th minute. After 20 minutes, Will Wipp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Minion Mim and the Brugge United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Minion Mim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will Wipp to maneuver through the defense. Mitch Lauwers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnauld Van Impe in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Vissenaeken in the 28th minute of play forced Minion Mim's goalkeeper Mitch Lauwers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Minion Mim defense, Ümit Karan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mitch Lauwers. The Minion Mim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mitch Lauwers should have stopped the shot. In the 38th minute, Joonatan Van Landewijck reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vítor Baia. The goal made the score 2-1. Minion Mim's Mattijs De Worteleer got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 44 minutes, Guido Vissenaeken made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Minion Mim's Mitch Lauwers tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Brugge United made a substitution. Waud Huijbrechts replaced Jaspar Van Den Broeck. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Mitch Lauwers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mitch Lauwers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ümit Karan in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Laurențiu Roşculeţ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Brugge United's Mitch Lauwers threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Goffrey Sas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 92nd minute, Arnauld Van Impe fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Mitch Lauwers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnauld Van Impe in the 96th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
