Guido Vissenaeken might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastián Torrico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Vissenaeken ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th minute, Guido Vissenaeken ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastián Torrico was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Manuel Castelain in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Brugge United's Jean-Louis Rijniers. 16 minutes into the game, Wu Sha Hui threw the ball into play from the sideline. Brugge United's Ümit Karan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sebastián Torrico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Vissenaeken in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loris Groß got free with Vítor Baia in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guido Vissenaeken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sebastián Torrico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Vissenaeken in the 20th minute of play. Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guido Vissenaeken blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastián Torrico having to make a save. Sebastián Torrico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Vissenaeken in the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Brugge United getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Alfons Bagge hit a great ball. In the 36th minute of the match Fc Schönhagen got a corner. Brugge United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Castelain ran over to the corner to take the kick. Klaus Wauters was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 38th minute, Manuel Castelain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loris Groß. Sebastián Torrico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Vissenaeken, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 44 minutes Brugge United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Manuel Castelain who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Fc Schönhagen getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kai Frei hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Fc Schönhagen's Loris Pier got a free kick in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Loris Groß made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Arnauld Van Impe took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Sebastián Torrico to make any attempt to save it. Vítor Baia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loris Groß, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ümit Karan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arnauld Van Impe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 62nd minute Loris Groß shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnauld Van Impe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 65 played minutes Fc Schönhagen got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Roland. The throw-in from Manuel Castelain in the 67th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Brugge United's Jean-Louis Rijniers. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Arnauld Van Impe took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Sebastián Torrico to make any attempt to save it. In the 71st minute Rolando Roland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnauld Van Impe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sebastián Torrico. That made the score 0-5 in the 73 minute of play. Sebastián Torrico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ümit Karan, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Sebastián Torrico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ümit Karan in the 80th minute of the match. After 81 minutes, Manuel Castelain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Schönhagen and the Brugge United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Brugge United booed when Fc Schönhagen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Castelain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastián Torrico made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Arnauld Van Impe sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 87 in the game by Arnauld Van Impe from a close distance when the talented Sebastián Torrico managed to make a qualified save. Fc Schönhagen's players were relieved. Arnauld Van Impe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastián Torrico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play.
