Higinio Aguilera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lv Zhou went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 11 minutes into the game, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Flavio Iraunkor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Loco Higuita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Flavio Iraunkor might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Loco Higuita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flavio Iraunkor ran back to his position shaking his head. Lv Zhou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Higinio Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Zhou in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fábio Rocha in the 25th minute of play forced LOS BUITRES's goalkeeper Loco Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Lv Zhou cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Higinio Aguilera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, LOS BUITRES's Loco Higuita got control of the ball when Andrea Pirlo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to LOS BUITRES getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Leonard Lixandru hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Demy Ottens tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Adriano Talone made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Aaron Cresitobalo. In the 38th minute, Hu Xiong Zhen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

Los Hijos de Doña Beija made a substitution. Jyrki Sillanpää replaced Flavio Iraunkor. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fábio Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Lv Zhou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Higinio Aguilera was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Lv Zhou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Aguilera having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Indiana Jones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Loco Higuita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. After 78 played minutes LOS BUITRES got a freekick which was hit by Erik Pinheiro. LOS BUITRES's Loco Higuita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Indiana Jones in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Jyrki Sillanpää left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Hijos de Doña Beija fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-3. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Argi Casta was substituted for Demy Ottens. If Jyrki Sillanpää had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Higinio Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Salazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 92 minutes into the match, LOS BUITRES's Christian Kellbom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higinio Aguilera narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
