Richard Lindley's late challenge caught a VfL Blau Weiß's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Lindley helped the player get up and apologised. Richard Lindley kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 5 minutes in the game, Mike Way fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jorg Gerhold having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Lindley in the 7th minute of play forced VfL Blau Weiß's goalkeeper Jorg Gerhold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th match minute, Maidstone United AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Way to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Maidstone United AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sören Gewalt came free, but Mickey Naisbitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Simon Schulzki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Maidstone United AFC's Vern Turk got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Richard Lindley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th minute, Claudius Thumser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorg Gerhold stood somewhat misplaced when Mike Way came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 28 minute. The audience was convinced that Sören Gewalt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mickey Naisbitt was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Richard Lindley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Vern Turk reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jorg Gerhold. The goal made the score 4-0. Claudius Thumser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Mickey Naisbitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Maidstone United AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brandon Lloyd to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Sören Gewalt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Jorg Gerhold successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Welf Surkemper made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Maidstone United AFC's goalkeeper Mickey Naisbitt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sören Gewalt. VfL Blau Weiß's Jorg Gerhold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Lindley in the 55th minute of play. After 57 minutes VfL Blau Weiß's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Les Calder who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Mike Way managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of VfL Blau Weiß booed when Maidstone United AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vern Turk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 66 minutes of play, VfL Blau Weiß's Sören Gewalt made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mickey Naisbitt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jorg Gerhold came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Maidstone United AFC's Richard Lindley. But to his dismay, Richard Lindley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Maidstone United AFC's Mickey Naisbitt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Maidstone United AFC from getting a goal against them. 81 minutes into the match, VfL Blau Weiß's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Lindley came free, but Jorg Gerhold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sören Gewalt scored 5-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mickey Naisbitt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st match minute, VfL Blau Weiß was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moritz Diers to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes, Maidstone United AFC's Les Calder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorg Gerhold came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maidstone United AFC reached it. Maidstone United AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
