Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Edvardt Molsing made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Kewl FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Fabian Udbjørg hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Benjamin Edmonton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Soubak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flemming Jorsø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Paul Newbury tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flemming Jorsø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Newbury having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Gwyn Blacksmith was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New York Cosmos AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kewl FC the free kick. Gwyn Blacksmith kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Pete Rundle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Soubak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pete Rundle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pedro Soubak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, New York Cosmos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jo Allanson to maneuver through the defense. Edvardt Molsing did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Paul Newbury 28 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in New York Cosmos AFC's zone, Edvardt Molsing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Newbury came out of the goal and Edvardt Molsing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute of the match, Flemming Jorsø got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paul Newbury was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, New York Cosmos AFC's Jo Allanson got a free kick in the 38th minute. Paul Newbury made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flemming Jorsø in the 43rd minute. Edvardt Molsing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Paul Newbury tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Benjamin Edmonton made the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Edmonton might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Soubak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Edmonton ran back to his position shaking his head. 63 minutes into the game, Sigfrid Baden cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Paul Newbury was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egil Holmsager during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th minute, Egil Holmsager hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pete Rundle's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Soubak firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 69 minutes, Pete Rundle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York Cosmos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pete Rundle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Flemming Jorsø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kewl FC's Edvardt Molsing got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamin Edmonton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edvardt Molsing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvardt Molsing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Newbury having to interfere. Paul Newbury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flemming Jorsø in the 79th minute of play. Edvardt Molsing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Paul Newbury tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Edmonton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Soubak having to interfere. The supporters of Kewl FC booed when New York Cosmos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jo Allanson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Flemming Jorsø had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paul Newbury. New York Cosmos AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flemming Jorsø was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 99th match minute, New York Cosmos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Heywood to maneuver through the defense. Paul Newbury showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Fisk, who was totally free with the ball in the 100th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flemming Jorsø in the 101st minute of play forced New York Cosmos AFC's goalkeeper Paul Newbury to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kewl FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while New York Cosmos AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
