Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rannal McTom made the kick off which started today's match. Bartley Colwell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pete Rundle's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Gwyn Blacksmith ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bartley Colwell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rannal McTom in the 16th minute of play forced New York Cosmos AFC's goalkeeper Paul Newbury to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rannal McTom took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Newbury. Paul Newbury dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Rannal McTom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. New York Cosmos AFC's Paul Newbury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadhg Murphy in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Rannal McTom reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paul Newbury. The goal made the score 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Edmonton to make the kick off. The supporters of New York Cosmos AFC booed when Drommahane AF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dermot Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Newbury came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Drommahane AF's Rannal McTom. But to his dismay, Rannal McTom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. With a little luck, Drommahane AF's Bartley Colwell got control of the ball when Pete Rundle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Drommahane AF's Rannal McTom got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rannal McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Paul Newbury tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jo Allanson's late challenge caught a Drommahane AF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jo Allanson helped the player get up and apologised. Bartley Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Edmonton in the 70th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Drommahane AF's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Edmonton came free, but Bartley Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Newbury showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rannal McTom in the 76th minute of the match. Blair Elam got a throw-in 83 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Benjamin Edmonton. Drommahane AF's Bartley Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Edmonton in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to Drommahane AF getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Biddy Ramsey hit a great ball. Loughlin Grant was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. Loughlin Grant kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Jake Hopker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York Cosmos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jake Hopker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Drommahane AF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
