The referee ignored Drumgowan Ut's protests and gave Pat Kirby a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Drumgowan Ut got a freekick which was hit by Pat Kirby. Vali Petrin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herich Sheridan in the 14th minute of the match. Valeriu Bolcaș's late challenge caught a Drumgowan Ut's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valeriu Bolcaș helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Valeriu Bolcaș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fionntán Benson in the 20th minute of play forced Cosa Nostra's goalkeeper Vali Petrin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Valeriu Bolcaș hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cosa Nostra booed when Drumgowan Ut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basil Quinnless didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marius Rareș came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Cosa Nostra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marius Rareș couldn't finish the play. Nechifor Iurea kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes, Drumgowan Ut's Bartel McStephen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vali Petrin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Drumgowan Ut reached it. Drumgowan Ut's Theodore Rutherford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Rareș in the 83rd minute of play. Vali Petrin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boyne McMichel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fionntán Benson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vali Petrin having to interfere.
