After having played for 17 minutes, Folke Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vidingsjö MOIF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Folke Carlsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Staffan Josefsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mounir El-Shater having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salah Nagy in the 24th minute of play forced Vidingsjö MOIF's goalkeeper Igor Kinic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mounir El-Shater came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Vidingsjö MOIF's Wiktor Klucznik. But to his dismay, Wiktor Klucznik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Kocaelispor getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Salah Nagy hit a great ball. If Folke Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wiktor Klucznik struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Mounir El-Shater didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vidingsjö MOIF. Mounir El-Shater came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Vidingsjö MOIF's Staffan Josefsson. But to his dismay, Staffan Josefsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Igor Kinic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salah Nagy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Vidingsjö MOIF fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Vidingsjö MOIF's Marcus Granqvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Folke Carlsson to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Marcus Granqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mounir El-Shater was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Vidingsjö MOIF's Tomas Hedström was substituted for Jan-Olof Kleen. In the 77th minute, Fareed Hosny got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute Folke Carlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mounir El-Shater saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vidingsjö MOIF made a substitution. Jörgen Blom replaced Marcus Granqvist.
