Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Benjamin Edmonton made the kick off which started today's match. Jaume Rodriguez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pete Rundle went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Jo Allanson kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, New York Cosmos AFC's goalkeeper Paul Newbury had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mikel Cardeñosa. Xavian Naranjo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Paul Newbury tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Mikel Cardeñosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. New York Cosmos AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Mikel Cardeñosa scored to the left of an out of position Paul Newbury, making the score, 1-1. Benjamin Edmonton scored 1-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaume Rodriguez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 24 played minutes New York Cosmos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jake Hopker. In the 26th minute, Jo Allanson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jake Hopker hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Guillerme Clemente took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Newbury. Paul Newbury dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. New York Cosmos AFC's Paul Newbury proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save New York Cosmos AFC from getting a goal against them. Xavian Naranjo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Paul Newbury made a huge save. Paul Newbury was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Iratze Riba capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iratze Riba really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. Xavian Naranjo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. New York Cosmos AFC's Paul Newbury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikel Cardeñosa in the 45th minute of play.

Blair Elam kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Pete Rundle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Jaume Rodriguez made a huge save. In the 66th minute, Raimundo Salan made a precise shot to the right of Paul Newbury. New York Cosmos AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. After a rather tough play, Samir de los Caños's Iratze Riba got a free kick in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Samir de los Caños's goalkeeper Jaume Rodriguez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pete Rundle. In the 72nd minute, Raimundo Salan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paul Newbury showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavian Naranjo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. A collision led to New York Cosmos AFC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jo Allanson hit a great ball. If Raimundo Salan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Samir de los Caños's Raimundo Salan got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Iratze Riba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paul Newbury was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Pete Rundle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Jaume Rodriguez made a huge save. Xavian Naranjo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Blanco struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Paul Newbury didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samir de los Caños. Jaume Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Edmonton, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Samir de los Caños had played much better football throughout.
