Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Samir de los Caños's Mikel Cardeñosa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Gez Hassell fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scarborough AFC's protests and gave Gez Hassell a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Scarborough AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gez Hassell. 5 minutes into the game, Mikel Cardeñosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Shane Portway was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Scarborough AFC's zone, Xavian Naranjo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shane Portway came out of the goal and Xavian Naranjo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shane Portway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikel Cardeñosa in the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Iratze Riba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shane Portway. Scarborough AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iratze Riba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The audience was convinced that Vince Burgess's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaume Rodriguez was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 19th minute, Guillerme Clemente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ben Proctor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jaume Rodriguez. Samir de los Caños's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 22nd minute Mikel Cardeñosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane Portway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Samir de los Caños's Mikel Cardeñosa in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scarborough AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Samir de los Caños's Xavian Naranjo got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Ben Proctor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shane Portway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikel Cardeñosa in the 30th minute of play. Xavian Naranjo struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Shane Portway didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samir de los Caños. 34 minutes into the game, Xavian Naranjo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samir de los Caños's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scarborough AFC the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Samir de los Caños was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavian Naranjo to maneuver through the defense. If Xavian Naranjo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mikel Cardeñosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shane Portway having to make a save. Iratze Riba hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Shane Portway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavian Naranjo in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Samir de los Caños's Mikel Cardeñosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shane Portway narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pierre Huckerby's late challenge caught a Samir de los Caños's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierre Huckerby helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Scarborough AFC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Pierre Huckerby hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Samir de los Caños's Raimundo Salan was substituted for Mikel Cardeñosa. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Graeme Farrow stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gez Hassell took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaume Rodriguez. Jaume Rodriguez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Jaume Rodriguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vince Burgess in the 58th minute of play. Ben Proctor kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Scarborough AFC's Rio Rowling got a free kick in the 65th minute. Shane Portway was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Xavian Naranjo. Vince Burgess received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jaume Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, Scarborough AFC's Vince Burgess made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaume Rodriguez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Samir de los Caños's Jaume Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graeme Farrow in the 72nd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Iratze Riba dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Shane Portway, 2-3. In the 79th minute, Samir de los Caños's Bittor Varela seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bittor Varela the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Samir de los Caños protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bittor Varela had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Samir de los Caños:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Scarborough AFC:s goal. In the 86th minute, Guillen Quintero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Portway having to interfere. Alex Blanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Shane Portway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaume Rodriguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graeme Farrow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
