The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yellow Submarine FC were furious when Neil Tuck was red carded, 4 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Kocaelispor a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ramzy Radwan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yellow Submarine FC's Eddie Cadwallader. 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Yellow Submarine FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fareed Hosny came free, but Eddie Cadwallader reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddie Cadwallader didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salah Nagy went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 14thth minute of the game Salah Nagy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yellow Submarine FC's Eddie Cadwallader was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kocaelispor's zone, Neil Brady stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mounir El-Shater came out of the goal and Neil Brady tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neil Brady sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Neil Brady recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Yellow Submarine FC booed when Kocaelispor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdou Hatem didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kocaelispor's zone, Neil Brady stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mounir El-Shater came out of the goal and Neil Brady tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neil Brady might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mounir El-Shater. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neil Brady ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Kocaelispor were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Neil Brady to strike the kick off in the second half. Rufus Todd kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Kocaelispor's Taimour Thabit got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Trey Ingram shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mounir El-Shater showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Salah Nagy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eddie Cadwallader read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yellow Submarine FC's goalkeeper Eddie Cadwallader, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Salah Nagy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eddie Cadwallader. Salah Nagy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. After 89 minutes of play, Kocaelispor's Fareed Hosny made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eddie Cadwallader was left in no man's land by his defense there! Neil Brady struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Mounir El-Shater didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yellow Submarine FC. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kocaelispor walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
