With a little luck, VfL Blau Weiß's Jorg Gerhold got control of the ball when Herich Sheridan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Theodore Rutherford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudius Thumser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fionntán Benson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorg Gerhold having to interfere. The Drumgowan Ut fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Drumgowan Ut's Fionntán Benson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fionntán Benson was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Louis Steffen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The VfL Blau Weiß fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorg Gerhold should have stopped the shot. After 67 minutes, Fionntán Benson made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind VfL Blau Weiß's goalkeeper Jorg Gerhold, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fionntán Benson in the 87th minute of play forced VfL Blau Weiß's goalkeeper Jorg Gerhold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Drumgowan Ut fully deserved thier win.
