After a defensive mix-up in Vidingsjö MOIF's zone, Romeo Grindeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Kinic came out of the goal and Romeo Grindeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vali Petrin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Staffan Josefsson in the 8th minute of play. Marius Rareș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Igor Kinic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Staffan Josefsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vali Petrin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vali Petrin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Staffan Josefsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Folke Carlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vali Petrin having to interfere. Vidingsjö MOIF's Igor Kinic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Vidingsjö MOIF from getting a goal against them. Vali Petrin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Staffan Josefsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Cosa Nostra's Romeo Grindeanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Igor Kinic. Igor Kinic yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Vidingsjö MOIF's Igor Kinic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Rareș in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Cosa Nostra's goal looked a bit too open when Folke Carlsson came free, but Vali Petrin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Staffan Josefsson took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vali Petrin. Vali Petrin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Marius Rareș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Romeo Grindeanu fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cosa Nostra's protests and gave Romeo Grindeanu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vidingsjö MOIF booed when Cosa Nostra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Grindeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Folke Carlsson was the one to do the kick off. Cosa Nostra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wiktor Klucznik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4.
